All this grandpa and grandma stuff is so confusing. Whenever a relative comes over I have to figure out who’s related to whom, and sometime I think it’s better to take the easy way out. Hence Grandpa Ed tonight became “Poppers,” which is much easier to say and leads to no confusion (on my part anyway) whatsoever.
I’m still unclear on why Mom, Dad, and “Poppers” found this so amusing. It makes perfect sense to me. I mean, if my Dad is Papa, then wouldn’t his dad be Poppers? What’s wrong with everybody that I’m the only one who gets this?
