Did the reunion thing this weekend. Twenty years is a long time and no time at all. Enjoyed reacquainting with everyone. The events (meetings at a bar, a restaurant, and a city park) were not even remotely worth the $60 per person we paid, especially since Erin and Jillian got kicked out of the bar after the first hour.
But that’s not to say that it wasn’t a good time. I very much enjoyed seeing everyone and catching up, and I am glad I went.
On the downside, I learned of the death of several classmates including Tim Cremere, Kim Jacobson, Mike Murray, Chris Bremmer, and Gordon Kimball. It’s a relatively low number given a graduating class over 300, but I was jarred by knowing all these people to a greater or lesser degree.
I’m going to be thinking about this for awhile.
