If I’m doing something, why would I want to be interrupted for minutes on end? The dirty secret of the advertising world is that interrupt driven marketing really doesn’t work. It may eventually get you brand awareness, but for the billions that companies spend intruding on our lives, they’d be much better off making a better product and positively engaging customers. (Or, as I like to say, turning customers into clients.)
