Hundreds of kids and their families are headed to Arizona for a soccer tournament with 500 teams – CNN:

The Desert Super Cup is an annual youth soccer tournament taking place over Thanksgiving weekend. The games are being played as Covid-19 cases are on the rise in Phoenix.
This year’s tournament is set to feature 460 out-of-state teams and 40 in-state teams.

The problem isn’t the soccer games. Played outdoors with masks that is a safe activity. (I’m aware of no transmission that way, and there was a major study out of San Diego of some 6000 youth players that found no transmission either.)

The problem is that parents, coaches, and kids will congregate outside of the playing field in hotels, restaurants, and so forth. That is a recipe for disaster.
