Most gamers prefer single-player games:
AAA developers on console and PC are continuing to chase the live-service jackpot, but single player remains the favourite way to play for most (53%) gamers.
First and foremost, I don’t want another subscription fee. But beyond that, I just prefer casual gaming that doesn’t require I check in daily (or hourly or whatever). I don’t play games often anymore—I feel like I’ve got better things to do with my time. I don’t need an expanse (and costly) multiplayer world to escape reality for a bit.
Apparently I’m not alone in that.
