My company has taken out a couple of ads in the upcoming Dex Yellow Pages. The process was a lot more convoluted that necessary, and I can’t say I’m universally happy about that, but in the end I got what I wanted, and if I pick up one client a month from the advertising, it will be worth it.
It’s worth mentioning also that Yellow Pages advertising is not cheap. My two ads plus an online ad of dubious value runs some $55 a month. If you’re considering hiring a company and you turn to the Yellow Pages and see a full page ad, you might want to think twice. Somebody’s paying hundreds if not thousands per month for that huge advertising, and unless you want to subsidize that, you might consider a different company.
