So apparently I have Roseola, a viral infection of infants and small kids characterized by high fever (been there, done that) and skin rash (doing that currently). I guess I’m going to have this rash about my body for a couple of days, then I should (finally!) be free and clear. I can tell you that I feel a whole lot better since my fever went away.
There is no specific treatment at this point, and the disease usually goes away on its own. I guess by one year old 86 percent of kids have HHV6 antibodies; by four years old almost all kids have them. I guess now I have them too.
